Burnout Therapy Dublin

Do you feel exhausted… but your mind won’t stop?

Burnout isn’t just stress.
It’s what happens when your mind and body stay “on” for too long, without the chance to reset.

Counselling for burnout can help you understand what is going, create better boundaries and work-life balance, and provide a space for you to reset psychologically and physically.

What burnout can feel like

You might still be working, showing up, and getting through your day.

But underneath that, something feels off.

You might look like you’re coping on the outside…
but inside, everything feels heavier than it should.

You feel tired, but your mind won’t slow down. You wake up already drained.
Small tasks feel harder than they used to.

Rest doesn’t feel like rest anymore.

You might find yourself overthinking, struggling to switch off, or feeling like you’re constantly “on”, even when you’re trying to relax.

Over time, it can start to feel like you’re stuck in a cycle you can’t step out of.

Which doesn't jut impact your work-life, but your home and personal life too.

Understanding burnout

Burnout isn’t just about how much you’re doing. It’s about how long your system has been under pressure without recovery.

For some, that might look like constantly pushing through, even when you’re exhausted.

For others, it might involve overthinking, people-pleasing, or feeling responsible for everything around them.

Through my work as a psychotherapist, and through my research into burnout, I’ve seen how this builds slowly over time rather than all at once.

Running two businesses myself, I also understand how easy it is to stay in that cycle, especially when slowing down feels uncomfortable, or even wrong.

Burnout isn’t a lack of motivation or discipline.

It’s a signal that something needs to change.

A more holistic approach to burnout therapy

Burnout isn’t something you simply think your way out of.

Most approaches focus on either the mind or the body.

Burnout sits in both.

With a background in psychotherapy, health, fitness, and behaviour change, I take a more holistic approach to burnout therapy.

So we don’t just look at your thoughts.

We look at:

  • the patterns that are keeping you stuck

  • how your day-to-day structure is affecting your energy

  • how your mind and body are responding to pressure

  • what realistic changes can help you begin to recover

The aim isn’t to completely overhaul your life overnight.

It’s to help you understand what’s happening, and begin making manageable changes you can actually follow through on, even when your energy is low.

How therapy can help with burnout

Therapy for burnout isn’t about doing more.

It’s about stepping out of the cycle you’re stuck in.

Through burnout counselling, we can:

  • explore what’s contributing to your burnout

  • identify patterns that may be keeping it going

  • reduce mental and emotional overload

  • begin to rebuild structure, energy, and clarity

It’s about creating enough space to step back, understand what’s happening, and begin to move differently.
